In class we watched the Nova special Cracking the Code of Life

Thursday:
Special guest Jeremy Hodges from the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center spoke to us about the conservation work being done on native birds

Today in class we:
Discussed pedigrees and how they apply to genetics
Looked at anatomy pig dissection

Homework:
Read 291-294 as well 12.4 and do the 12.4 assessment problems

Monday, May 8th

Today in class we:
Handed out semester review and went over review assignment
Discussed sex-linked genetics as well as color blindness
Heard remainder of presentations for genetic disorders and diseases

Homework:
Read Chapter 14 sections 1 and 2, complete section assessments 14.1 and 14.2

Thursday, May 4th

Today in class we:
Heard genetic disease presentations from the class

Monday, May 1st

Today in class we:
Worked in library on genetic disease power point presentations.

Homework:
Finish power point presentations, have ready to present on Thursday.
